John Randolph Medical Center Extends Deadline for Essay Contest

(HOPEWELL, VA) May 21, 2008 – John Randolph Medical Center has announced an extension of the deadline for its essay contest for middle and high school students from throughout the Tri-Cities area and surrounding counties.

Students are invited to submit a 250 to 500-word, typed essay describing what the hospital’s mission, “Our Family Taking Care of Yours,” means to them. The deadline to submit entries has been extended to Friday, June 6.

To apply, students must include their name, school, grade and contact information and email it to jrmccommunityrelations@hcahealthcare.com or mail it to John Randolph Medical Center, 411 W. Randolph Road, Hopewell VA  23860, Attn: Marketing.

A winner will be selected at the middle and high school levels and each will receive a $250 savings bond. Winners will be announced at noon during the Summer Health and Wellness Festival at John Randolph Medical Center on Saturday, June 21.
